The Dolfin LTF is legal. Dolfin will be coming out with a new racing suit that will be cut to the knee. I think this will be a very good racing suit as well and priced below the rest.

I LIKE THE DOLFIN LTF WOMENS SUITS FOR RACING,ESPECIALLY THE PRINTS, BUT I DONT KNOW IF THEY WILL BE LEGAL FOR SHORT COURCE YARDS RACES AFTER JUNE 1, OTHERWISE, WHAT ABOUT THE OLD LYCRA OR POLY SPEEDO,TYR, ETC PRINTS WHICH ARE THE BEST. I HOPE THOSE WILL STILL BE LEGAL TO RACE IN. THEY ARE VERY FAST TO RACE IN IF ONE SIZES DOWN, IF THAT IS LEGAL.

The shortage of racing suits has been frustrating for everyone in the sport. At recent College Championships team swam in up to 4 brands of suit to accomplish offering an elite racing suit for each swimmer. "A men's 28 jammer, forget about it!", probably the hardest suit to come by in America. For the first time in many years, many of our elite athletes were swimming in 20 year old technology.

The Speedo Aquablade used in the 1995 Olympics have never been so popular. The paper suit of 25 years ago has become the fastest suit in the water. I hope everyone can get on the same page, do whats right for our sport and improve this situation.

Did you get your suits?

We use stretch cords in our program 3 to 4 days per week right after warmup. Sometimes we go fast swimms after warmup and sometimes we do resistance. 2 days per week we will do a short set of 2 kick, 2 swim, 2 pull, 2 swim on a stretchcord trying to go go max distance. Other days we will go 4 swim, 1 x 200 recovery and do this set 3 times.
We also have the swimmers dive off the blocks for a fast 25 attached to a longbelt with a bucket at the end. We submerge the bucket before they dive.
Resistance training is as important in our program as dryland training and heart rate development. Good Stuff!
